Public Sector Creativity Spotlighted in Seventh Edition of Fikra

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, attended the final stage of the seventh edition of the Government Innovation Competition, ‘Fikra’, today.

During the event, His Highness highlighted the Kingdom’s dedication to launching initiatives that foster innovation and enhance competitiveness across the public sector, supporting Bahrain’s comprehensive development under His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and guided by the directives of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman stressed the importance of creativity and innovation in advancing government operations and improving the quality and efficiency of public services.

The competition winners were selected through a rigorous evaluation process by a Ministerial Committee, chaired by HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman, alongside a public vote. The winning projects are:

  1. Takamul – Captain Abdulla Waheed Almannaei and Alaa Ahmed Albalooshi, Ministry of Interior

  2. Smart Employment Advisor – Jalal Jaafar Maki, Ministry of Legal Affairs

  3. Tameni – Ali Husain Darwish, Maha Majeed Almaarej, Narjes Yusuf Sabt, Fatema Ateya Alaradi, Government Hospitals

His Highness congratulated the winners, praising the innovative ideas and their potential to contribute to national development. He also commended all participants for demonstrating initiative, responsibility, and commitment to improving government services.

The winning concepts will be submitted to the Government Executive Committee, chaired by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for adoption and implementation by the relevant government entities, ensuring alignment with approved procedures.

The Ministerial Committee overseeing the competition included HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa (Chair), HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, HE Yousif bin Abdulhussain Khalaf, HE Dr Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan, HE Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, HE Amna bint Ahmed Al Romaihi, HE Dr Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, and HE Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro.

The Fikra competition supports the advancement of public services in line with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and the 2023–2026 Government Programme.
