Talks in Washington Focus on Regional Stability
His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Bahrain’s Foreign Minister, met with U.S. Congresswoman Lois Frankel and members of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee, Representatives Mark Alford and John Moolnar, in Washington. The meeting was also attended by Bahrain’s Ambassador to the U.S., Sheikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, and the ministerial delegation.
The discussions highlighted the strong historical friendship and strategic partnership between Bahrain and the United States. Both sides explored ways to deepen cooperation in political, economic, investment, and security fields, aiming to advance mutual interests and shared goals.
Regional developments, particularly in the Middle East, were also discussed. The talks focused on efforts to reduce tensions, prevent escalation, and promote conflict resolution through dialogue and diplomacy. The meeting emphasized supporting reconstruction and recovery initiatives to ensure a safe, stable, and prosperous environment for all countries in the region.
