Bahrain and Kuwait Strengthen Media and Cultural Ties
Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al-Noaimi, Bahrain’s Minister of Information, highlighted the strong and brotherly ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, grounded in deep historical relations and solid foundations of cooperation. He noted that these relations continue to receive high-level attention and support from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait.
The remarks came during a meeting with Abdulrahman Badah Al-Mutairi, Kuwait’s Minister of Information, Culture, and State for Youth Affairs. The two ministers discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in media and cultural fields, exchange experiences, and develop joint media work. The aim is to strengthen the professional role of media and enhance its presence regionally and internationally.
The meeting also covered topics of mutual interest, including current developments in the media sector, ongoing challenges, and ways to improve Gulf-level media coordination to keep pace with rapid changes in the industry.
Following the meeting, Minister Al-Mutairi toured Bahrain’s Ministry of Information complex, accompanied by Dr. Al Naeemi and other officials. The tour included visits to the National Contact Center, the main news studio, and the Bahrain Radio building.
Minister Al-Mutairi expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and praised Bahrain’s notable progress in the media sector. He also commended the Kingdom’s efforts to strengthen joint Gulf media cooperation, highlighting the positive impact on shared goals and the broader interests of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
