The Council of Representatives and Shura Council expressed deep pride and gratitude for the sacrifices made by the Kingdom’s fallen heroes in defence of Bahrain, its people, and the interests of the Arab and Islamic nations.

This came as the Kingdom held the Commemoration Day, observed annually on December 17 in implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

They commended the care and directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in honouring the sacrifices of servicemen, including the establishment of the Royal Fund for Fallen Servicemen to support the families of fallen personnel from the Bahrain Defence Force, the Ministry of Interior and the National Guard.

The Council of Representatives emphasised that Commemoration Day represents an enduring national chapter, written through the great sacrifices of brave men, and will remain a source of pride in Bahrain’s history and a motivation for dedication, service, and achievement for the nation and its citizens.

The Shura Council paid tribute to the fallen heroes who gave their lives in service of the nation, fulfilling their national duty with sincerity and dedication, and embodying the highest values of sacrifice in military, security, and humanitarian fields to safeguard Bahrain’s security, stability and achievements.

It noted that Commemoration Day will remain a deeply rooted national occasion in the collective conscience, and a day to express gratitude to the fallen personnel of the Bahrain Defence Force, the Ministry of Interior and the National Guard, who carried out their duties with steadfast faith and sincere loyalty in defence of the Kingdom’s security, stability, and progress.
