His Majesty King Hamad honours fallen servicemen on Commemoration Day

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, paid tribute to the courage, loyalty, and patriotism of Bahrain’s fallen servicemen during the Commemoration Day ceremony at Al Sakhir Palace.
He described their sacrifice as a lasting source of pride and inspiration for generations to come.
“Their sacrifices will always be remembered and serve as a guiding light for future generations,” HM the King said in a statement.
“Commemoration Day is a national occasion to honour those who gave their lives in defence of Bahrain’s security, stability, and sovereignty.”
Dedication
HM King Hamad also acknowledged the dedication of Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) and security personnel, commending their unity, determination, and noble mission in safeguarding the nation.
He praised the families of the fallen servicemen as exemplary role models of resilience and patriotism, and highlighted the solidarity of Bahraini citizens in honouring the fallen and supporting their families His Majesty offered prayers for the fallen servicemen and wishing Bahrain continued security, progress, and prosperity.
The ceremony was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, along with senior officials, military officers, and families of the fallen servicemen.
Upon His Majesty’s arrival, he was received by His Excellency Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander in Chief of the BDF; H.E. General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander of the National Guard; and H.E. General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior.
The event included a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, a single artillery salute, and a moment of silence. Military honours were rendered, accompanied by a performance of the Fallen Servicemen’s Salute by the military band.
Tribute
The Royal Bahraini Air Force also conducted a flyover in tribute to the fallen servicemen.
Shaikh Adnan bin Abdulla Al Qattan, President of the Sharia Department at the Cassation Court and Imam of Al Fateh Mosque, delivered a commemorative sermon and prayer, honouring the heroism of the fallen servicemen and praying for Bahrain’s continued security, unity, and prosperity.
During the ceremony, the National Guard Commander rendered a salute to His Majesty, followed by the symbolic watering of a palm tree representing eternal life.
The event concluded with the playing of the Royal Anthem.
