Bahrain Celebrates Volunteers and Executive Committee of 3rd Asian Youth Games

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and Chairman of the General Sports Authority, a special ceremony was held today to honor the Executive Committee and volunteers of the 3rd Asian Youth Games – Bahrain 2025. The kingdom hosted the event in October, marking a successful and historic continental sporting event.

The celebration took place at Khalifa Sports City Hall and was attended by His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice Chairman of the General Sports Authority, His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, Dr. Abdulrahman Askar, CEO of the General Sports Authority, Fares Mustafa Al-Kooheji, Secretary-General of the Olympic Committee, and a number of guests.

During the event, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa expressed pride in Bahrain’s successful hosting of the Games, highlighting the teamwork and dedication shown by the nation. He praised the Executive Committee, led by Youssef Daeij, and the approximately 3,000 volunteers whose efforts contributed to an exceptional edition of the Games, reflecting Bahrain’s leadership in organizing major sporting events.

His Highness added, “We always rely on Bahraini talents who have repeatedly proven their ability to deliver major sporting events. We are proud of the strong national spirit displayed by all organizers. Our thanks and appreciation go to everyone who contributed to this historic continental event. Bahrain 2025 will be remembered as a milestone in the history of the Asian Youth Games, organized in record time and with the highest standards of quality and excellence.”

The ceremony also included the honoring of Executive Committee leaders, supporting companies, and representatives of government entities. A short film highlighted the Games’ key moments and the efforts of the organizing teams. The event concluded with interactive competitions and prize draws, creating an atmosphere of excitement among attendees.

Upon arrival at Khalifa Sports City Hall, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa received a warm welcome and applause from a full audience, appreciating his support and encouragement of national talents, which enabled Bahrain to successfully organize the Games in just ten months.
