Strong Leadership Drives Golden Era for Youth and Sports in Bahrain

Bahrain’s Leadership Praised for Supporting Youth and Sports Progress

Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, affirmed that the continued support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, is the foundation of Bahrain’s national achievements—especially in youth and sports.
He noted that these two sectors are witnessing a “golden era” of development under the Kingdom’s clear and forward-looking vision.

HH Shaikh Nasser highlighted Bahrain’s recent success in hosting the 3rd Asian Youth Games, describing it as a shining example of effective national teamwork. He praised the leadership and dedication of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, whose direct oversight played a key role in the event’s success.

This came as HH Shaikh Nasser received HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa along with members of the Supreme Organizing Committee and the Executive Committee of the Asian Youth Games, in the presence of several senior officials.

During the meeting, HH Shaikh Nasser commended the efforts of the organizing committees and volunteers, saying they demonstrated true national loyalty and excellence. He noted that Bahrain’s skilled workforce is capable of managing major sporting events at high international standards.
He also praised the outstanding performance of Bahraini athletes, who won multiple medals, and thanked all partnering entities that helped strengthen Bahrain’s position as a regional and global destination for major events.

For their part, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and committee members expressed their deep appreciation to HH Shaikh Nasser for his support and guidance, confirming their commitment to continuing efforts to elevate Bahrain’s international sporting presence.
