Coast Guard Seizes Over 2,400 Illegal Fishing Traps and Nets in Bahrain

Manama: The Ministry of Interior has announced that the Coast Guard Command has seized a total of 2,485 illegal fishing tools, including 2,411 marine traps and 74 fishing nets, during October and November 2025.

This operation is part of the Coast Guard's ongoing efforts to enforce compliance with fishing laws and regulations, protect the marine environment, and preserve Bahrain's natural resources. The authorities have taken necessary legal action against the violators.

The Coast Guard Command has emphasised the importance of fishermen adhering to the laws and regulations governing fishing operations to ensure the sustainability of marine resources.
