Omani Sultan to Visit Bahrain

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman is set to visit the Kingdom of Bahrain onWednesday, 3 December 2025, to take part in the 46th Session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

According to a statement from the Diwan of the Royal Court, the visit follows an invitation from King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain. The Sultan’s participation reflects his commitment to meeting fellow GCC leaders to strengthen regional cooperation and discuss key issues affecting the Gulf in light of regional and global developments.

During the visit, Sultan Haitham will be accompanied by a senior official delegation, including:

• HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs

• Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court

• Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu'amani, Minister of the Royal Office

• Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister

• Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance

• Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office

• Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority

• Sayyid Faisal bin Harib Al Busaidi, Ambassador of Oman to Bahrain

The summit is expected to focus on enhancing GCC cooperation and advancing joint initiatives for growth and prosperity across the region.
