Southern Governor Chairs Security Committee Meeting
His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, chaired the eighth meeting of the Security Committee for 2026.
HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali affirmed the committee’s role in implementing the directives of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, and in following up on citizens’ needs and addressing them in a manner that contributes to enhancing security and stability across the Southern Governorate.
The meeting reviewed reports on police security arrangements for events scheduled to take place in September, as well as operational statistics, civil defence reports for August and traffic enforcement figures.
HH the Governor stressed the importance of maintaining a high level of preparedness, ensuring close follow-up and taking swift action to safeguard public safety and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
The Governor was also briefed on a community-focused programme aimed at strengthening partnerships with the community.
