Female lawyers represent 58% of the legal profession in Bahrain

Manama: Female lawyers represent 58% of the legal profession in Bahrain, according to Sheikha Salwa bint Ahmed Al Khalifa, a lawyer and legal consultant. She termed the achievement as ‘a testament to the competence and excellence of Bahraini women in the judicial and legal fields.’ She highlighted the significant progress made by Bahraini women in the legal profession was, at the forum ‘Bahraini Women in the Judicial and Legal Fields’.

The forum, held under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, emphasised the importance of empowering women in the legal profession. Sheikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Judicial Council, noted that supporting women is a conscious investment in developing national talent.
Attorney General Dr. Ali bin Fadl Al-Buainain also praised the role of women in the legal profession, announcing the Public Prosecution's intention to launch initiatives to enhance the presence of Bahraini women in the judicial and legal field.
The forum also highlighted the achievements of Bahraini women in various fields, including the judiciary, prosecution, and law. Judge Fatima Habil noted that 29 women currently hold various judicial positions, including judges, public prosecutors, and members of the Supreme Judicial Council.
The forum celebrated the excellence and innovation of Bahraini women in the judicial and legal fields and emphasised the importance of continuing to empower and support women in these fields.
