ICRF Bahrain Set to Host 17th Annual 'Faber-Castell Spectra' Art Carnival

TDT I Manama

The highly anticipated 17th edition of the annual art carnival for students in Bahrain, 'Faber-Castell Spectra 2025,' organized by the Indian Community Welfare Association (ICRF Bahrain), is scheduled for Friday, December 5, at the Indian School, Isa Town Campus. Registration for this prestigious event is currently progressing for students across the Kingdom.

Entering its seventeenth successful year, Spectra aims to promote young artistic talent and build cultural links through art. The event draws diverse participation from schools following Indian, Bahraini, and other international curriculums, focusing on elevating students' artistic skills in a creative environment. Faber-Castell has been the Title Sponsor since 2009, with Malabar Gold serving as the Presenter this year.

In preparation for the December 5th event, the ICRF Spectra Committee recently met with approximately 40 school coordinators from about 25 Bahraini schools to ensure successful execution. Students participating will be grouped into four age categories: 5–8, 8–11, 11–14, and 14–18 years. Participation in these younger categories is restricted to school nominations, while an online link is available for participants aged 18 and above.

Faber-Castell will provide free drawing materials to all participants. Winners will receive trophies, certificates, and medals, and all participants will receive certificates. The top artworks from the December 5th competition will be featured in the ICRF 2026 Wall & Desk Calendars, set for release later in December 2025, and distributed widely across the community.

ICRF Bahrain, a non-profit organization established in 1999, has spent 25 years working for the welfare of Indian workers in Bahrain, providing extensive support in areas including medical and legal aid, with cooperation from various Bahraini authorities.

The details regarding the 'Faber-Castell Spectra 2025' art carnival were briefed to the media during a press conference held at the Regency Intercontinental. The press meet was attended by key representatives from ICRF and the title sponsor, including ICRF Chairman Adv. V K Thomas, General Secretary Aneesh Sreedharan, Vice Chairmen Pankaj Nallur and Prakash Mohan, Treasurer Uday Shanbhagh, Advisor Aruldas Thomas, Spectra Convener Muralikrishnan, Joint Secretary Javad Pasha, and Faber-Castell Country Manager Mr. Abdul Shukoor Muhammed.
