Bahrain Praises London Police as Model for Advanced Security Practices

Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security of the Kingdom of Bahrain, praised the historic and strong relations between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, particularly in policing, highlighting the continuous development that reflects the commitment of both countries to enhancing cooperation and safeguarding shared interests.

The remarks came during a meeting between Lieutenant General Al Hassan and Mr. Beat O’Doherty, Commissioner of the City of London Police, held as part of the second strategic dialogue between the two nations. Lieutenant General Al Hassan emphasized that Bahrain’s multiple security achievements are the result of the guidance and support of Lieutenant General His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, who is dedicated to advancing the kingdom’s security system through international cooperation, knowledge exchange, and adoption of advanced practices to address emerging security challenges.

The Chief of Public Security also commended the City of London Police for its distinguished efforts in maintaining public safety, highlighting its high level of technical, operational, and training readiness, which serves as a leading example in policing.

The meeting further explored ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination in various security areas, including combating organized and cross-border crime, economic crimes, and cybersecurity threats. Discussions also focused on enhancing security capabilities and skills through specialized training programs and the exchange of expertise, aiming to raise overall efficiency and preparedness in both countries’ security sectors.
