Bahraini-Saudi Talks Focus on GCC Summit Preparations

His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, met today in Riyadh with His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr. Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Rassi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral International Affairs.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the historic fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the ongoing development and growth across all sectors, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, and his brother, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia.

The discussion also focused on preparations for Bahrain’s hosting of the 46th session of the GCC Supreme Council Summit, under the chairmanship of His Majesty the King. The agenda of the summit, as well as matters related to advancing the Gulf joint action, were among the key topics discussed.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ali bin Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Khalifa, Ambassador of Bahrain to Saudi Arabia; Ambassador Saeed Abdulkhaleq Saeed, Head of the Coordination and Follow-up Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Ambassador Nawar Abdullah Al-Mutawa, Acting Head of the GCC Affairs Sector at the Ministry.
