Labour Law Breach: Over 300 Deported from Bahrain in a Month
Manama: The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has conducted a total of 7,875 inspection campaigns and visits across Bahrain from October 26 to November 22, resulting in the deportation of 301 violators. The inspections, which included 119 joint campaigns with government agencies, led to the detection of various labour and residency law violations, with 76 irregular workers arrested.
The breakdown of deportations includes: 78 deportations between October 26 and November 1, 52 deportations from November 2 to 8, and 58 deportations from November 9 to 15, with 113 deportations reported from November 16 to 22.
The LMRA has urged citizens to report labour market violations and irregular employment through the official website www.lmra.gov.bh or or call centre 17506055, emphasising the importance of protecting Bahrain's labour market and social security.
