HRH Prince Salman inaugurates second phase of Avenues – Bahrain expansion project

Hi s Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has underscored Bahrain’s commitment to advancing visions and programmes aimed at strengthening economic infrastructure and creating an environment that attracts investments.
“Bahrain remains committed to strengthening its economic infrastructure and providing a business-friendly environment that encourages investment and entrepreneurship,” he said, highlighting the Kingdom’s dedication to sustainable growth. HRH Prince Salman was speaking as he inaugurated yesterday the second phase of the Avenues – Bahrain expansion project, held under his patronage.
During the inauguration, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister toured the new extension, noting the seamless blend of modern facilities with traditional Bahraini architecture.
“Projects like the Avenues expansion reflect the Kingdom’s ambitious development plans and demonstrate our commitment to sustainable economic growth,” he added.
HRH Prince Salman also commended the efforts of the project organisers, describing the expansion as a testament to the strength and resilience of Bahrain’s development initiatives. “The achievements we witness today are the result of Team Bahrain’s unwavering determination to turn challenges into accomplishments,” he remarked.

Emphasising the role of partnerships, His Royal Highness said, “Collaboration with the private sector is essential to advancing our sustainable development goals and strengthening the national economy.”
He further highlighted the importance of fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and expanding regional and international trade to achieve Bahrain’s strategic objectives.
The second phase of the Avenues – Bahrain adds 40,000 square metres of new leasable space, doubling the mall’s total area to 80,000 square metres. The expansion features 244 retail units, new entertainment zones including an ice-skating rink and a supermarket, as well as an underground parking facility for approximately 1,300 vehicles.
Distinctive areas such as The Forum, Grand Plaza, Electra, and The Souk showcase contemporary designs that provide a comprehensive shopping and leisure experience.
