The Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) participated in the first GCC Conference of the Red Crescent on Artificial Intelligence in Kuwait, hosted by the Kuwait Red Crescent Society and the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council on October 22 and 23.

The BRCS delegation included Mr. Adel Al-Jar, Member of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Ali Medon, Head of the Public Relations Committee.

The conference aimed to establish a unified strategic vision among Gulf National Societies for the ethical and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in humanitarian and relief work. The goal is to leverage smart technology to improve emergency response and development communication across the region.

The discussions focused on boosting the efficiency of volunteer and relief operations and strengthening systems for data collection, analysis, and early prediction. This approach reflects a modern commitment to using technological innovation for greater effectiveness, precision, and reach in humanitarian action.

"We are committed to actively participate in joint GCC initiatives that seek to elevate the standards of volunteerism and relief work across the region."

Looking ahead, Mr. Al-Hadi added that the BRCS will work to implement the conference’s recommendations.
