HM King Hamad Receives U.S. Fifth Fleet Commander in Manama
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain and Supreme Commander of the Bahrain Defence Forces, received today at Al-Sakhir Palace Vice Admiral Kurt W. T. Renshaw, Commander of the U.S. Navy Central Command and Fifth Fleet, on the occasion of his appointment to the position.
During the meeting, His Majesty warmly welcomed Vice Admiral Renshaw and congratulated him on assuming his new role, wishing him success in his military duties to strengthen Bahraini-American cooperation and advance regional security and peace.
His Majesty praised the deep-rooted strategic relations and longstanding partnership between the two friendly nations, highlighting the continuous development of bilateral cooperation, particularly in military and defense fields. He affirmed that the Bahraini-American relationship has been built over decades on trust, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to achieving common goals.
The King also commended the pivotal role of the U.S. administration in ensuring regional security and stability and in promoting international peace. Moreover, His Majesty acknowledged the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump in the success of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, his initiatives to end the Gaza conflict, and his contributions to advancing peace efforts across the Middle East.
In response, Vice Admiral Renshaw expressed his deep appreciation for His Majesty’s efforts in consolidating strategic relations and supporting the strong bilateral cooperation between Bahrain and the United States across all fields.
