HM King Hamad Directs Fast-Track Housing Projects in Muharraq

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received Muharraq Governor Salman bin Isa bin Hindi Al Mannai at Safriya Palace today, in the presence of His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty, Royal Court Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, HM’s Advisor for Youth and Sports Affairs Saleh bin Isa bin Hindi Al Mannai, Minister of State for Public Affairs Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, and Education Minister Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma.

The meeting reviewed the progress of development projects in Muharraq, with a focus on preserving the city’s historic and cultural identity.

His Majesty stressed the importance of protecting Bahrain’s heritage while accelerating the Muharraq development project to benefit residents and future generations. He praised the city’s historic role and the contribution of its people to Bahrain’s national progress.

King Hamad directed the swift implementation of housing projects in Muharraq, along with improved services, infrastructure, reduced congestion, and better traffic flow for residents and visitors. He also instructed that proper housing for workers be provided outside the city. The Muharraq Governor was tasked with coordinating with government entities to ensure timely execution of these projects.

The Governor and HM’s Advisor expressed deep gratitude to His Majesty for his continuous support to preserve Muharraq’s heritage while advancing its infrastructure and development.
