Khalid Yousif Al Jalahma, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, took part in the annual ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held in New York on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.

In his remarks, Al Jalahma expressed Bahrain’s appreciation to the Republic of Türkiye for chairing the current OIC Council of Foreign Ministers and to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for continuously hosting the organization’s headquarters and supporting its work. He reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to supporting just Islamic causes, strengthening multilateral cooperation, backing joint Islamic initiatives, and maintaining active participation in the OIC to serve member states’ interests, security, and sustainable development.

He stressed the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the delivery of humanitarian aid, and the release of hostages and detainees.
