Interior Minister: Bahrain’s Youth Enjoy the Nation’s Brightest Era

Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, affirmed that Bahrain’s youth are living in the nation’s brightest and most prosperous era, thanks to the wisdom and leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The Minister, who also chairs the Ministerial Follow-up Committee for the National Plan to Foster Belonging and Consolidate Citizenship Values, made the remarks during a meeting with residents of Muharraq at the Muharraq Events Hall—a facility gifted by His Majesty the King to strengthen social bonds within the community.

During the gathering, attended by senior officials including His Majesty’s Advisor for Youth and Sports Affairs, Mr. Saleh bin Isa bin Hindi Al Mannai, and Muharraq Governor Mr. Salman bin Isa bin Hindi Al Mannai, the Minister conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He stressed that such meetings reflect the Royal vision of enhancing communication with citizens and safeguarding public safety.

The Minister listened to the views of Muharraq residents, praising their dedication to reinforcing national unity, preserving social harmony, and supporting the values of citizenship. He responded to their remarks in a spirit of open dialogue and partnership.

Recalling Bahrain’s resilience through historic challenges, the Minister highlighted milestones such as the referendum on Bahrain’s Arab identity under the late Amir Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the 98.4% approval of the National Action Charter, which launched His Majesty the King’s comprehensive reform project. He further noted that the events of 2011 reflected external threats rather than internal division, underscoring the Kingdom’s ability to overcome difficulties with strength and solidarity.

Shaikh Rashid emphasized that the trust between the leadership and the people remains the foundation of national progress, adding that the current era offers Bahrain’s young generation unparalleled opportunities to thrive and contribute to the nation’s future.
