Muharraq Set the Tone in Nasser Bin Hamad League
Early dominance marks strong start to new season
Muharraq opened the Nasser Bin Hamad Premier League with two 3–0 wins, collecting maximum points. They remain the only side yet to concede and have scored six goals in two matches.

Khalidiya also hold full points but needed a 1–0 win against l Ahli, raising questions about their form. Ahli showed improvement compared to their loss against Muharraq.
Riffa beat Sitra 3–0 in one of the stronger performances of round two. The win ended a slow start and put them back among the early contenders.
Al Hidd defeated Bahrain Club 3–1, while Malkiya beat Budaiya 2–1. A’ali produced an upset by beating Najma, a result that boosted their position at the start of the season.
The first two rounds recorded 34 goals at an average of 2.83 per match. Muharraq lead the scoring charts, while Bahrain Club have conceded seven goals in two games.

Tonight, Sitra face Najma at 7pm at the Bahrain National Stadium, while Al Hidd meet Riffa at the same time at Khalifa Sports City. Tomorrow, Khalidiya take on Al Shabab at 4:45pm at Khalifa Sports City, while Muharraq meet Malkiya at 4:45pm at the Bahrain National Stadium.
