Strong Winds and Cooler Weather Mark Seasonal Shift in Bahrain
Bahrain is currently experiencing active northwesterly winds accompanied by a gradual drop in temperatures, according to the official radar of the Meteorological Directorate at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications. Current readings show temperatures hovering around 32°C, with dust reported in some areas.
Earlier, the Meteorological Directorate had issued a warning about strong winds expected to persist until Thursday noon.
The weather changes coincide with the autumnal equinox, which Bahrain witnessed at the start of this week. The astronomical event signals the gradual end of summer and the beginning of cooler weather, with daytime temperatures moderating and nights expected to feel cooler by late October. More pleasant conditions are forecast by November.
According to the latest weather bulletin, maximum temperatures over the coming days will range between 38°C and 29°C, while minimum temperatures will remain between 27°C and 28°C.
Forecasts also indicate relatively hot conditions during the day and occasionally mild nights, with humidity levels reaching up to 85% on certain days. Northwesterly winds are expected to vary between 13 and 23 knots, while offshore wave heights could rise between 3 and 6 feet.
