Bahrain–China Trade Surpasses $2 Billion as Ties Deepen

Speaking at a reception marking the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, Chinese Ambassador to Bahrain H.E. Ni Ruchi also highlighted the growing cultural exchanges between the two countries. He noted that more Bahrainis are visiting China to experience its culture, while Bahrain continues to host an increasing number of Chinese cultural events.
“China is ready to work with Bahrain to further strengthen strategic alignment and elevate our comprehensive partnership for the benefit of both nations,” Ambassador Ni affirmed, extending his best wishes for continued friendship and cooperation.
The event, held in Manama, was attended by senior officials, diplomats, and distinguished guests. In his remarks, Ambassador Ni reflected on China’s recent economic performance, noting that the country’s total imports and exports in the first half of 2025 exceeded $3 trillion—a 29% increase compared to last year.
He reiterated China’s commitment to global peace, stability, fairness, and justice, citing recent international initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping to promote dialogue, cooperation, and a fairer international order.
Ambassador Ni also recalled His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s successful visit to China last year, which strengthened the two countries’ political and strategic ties, including the establishment of a comprehensive health strategy. He praised Bahrain’s active role in the United Nations, including its widely supported initiative to designate an International Day of Peaceful Coexistence.
The reception concluded with cultural performances, reaffirming the enduring friendship and expanding cooperation between China and Bahrain.
