UAE and Bahrain Discuss Regional Security and Cooperation
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, received Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, during his official visit to the UAE today.
The meeting focused on the strong fraternal relations between the two countries and their peoples, and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation across various fields. The leaders also discussed boosting coordination and joint consultations in international forums to serve their shared interests, in line with the guidance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
The discussions also covered recent regional developments and their impact on security and stability, as well as ongoing efforts to promote peace and security in the region for the benefit of all nations.
The meeting was attended by H.E. Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; H.E. Saeed Al Hajri, Chairman of the Emirates Drug Manufacturing Establishment and Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic and Commercial Affairs; H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Bahraini Ambassador to Abu Dhabi; Ambassador Khalid Yousif Al Jalahma, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs; and the accompanying Bahraini delegation.
