As summer tightens its grip across the Gulf, residents in Bahrain are facing extreme heat combined with high humidity. On Saturday, the temperature soared to a sweltering 44°C, with humidity levels reaching 95%, making outdoor conditions intensely uncomfortable. Locals have been urged to stay indoors during peak afternoon hours and stay hydrated.

Meanwhile, in the UAE, the city of Al Ain experienced a refreshing shift in weather. Overcast skies brought moderate to heavy rain across parts of the city on Saturday afternoon. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) confirmed that the showers were caused by convective clouds forming in the area. Rainfall is expected to continue on and off until 9pm, offering temporary relief from the typical summer heat.

In contrast, Saudi Arabia is preparing for a different kind of weather challenge. Starting Sunday, the southern regions of the Kingdom are expected to be hit by several days of heavy rain and dust storms. According to Hussein Al Qahtani, spokesperson for the National Center for Meteorology, areas including Mecca, Al Baha, Asir, Najran, and Jazan — especially their mountainous zones — are likely to witness the strongest impact. Residents are advised to remain cautious and follow official updates.
