Traffic violations monitored online
Advanced technologies are vastly contributing in the detection of traffic violations, the General Directorate of Traffic stated yesterday.
Traffic General Director Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa asserted in a statement that “out of dedication to promote traffic safety, the department continues to monitor traffic violations online through CCTV cameras installed on most roads.”
Shaikh Nasser called upon road users to follow traffic rules mainly by avoiding traffic violations and wrong practices, as “traffic safety is a joint responsibility to protect lives and property from serious and fatal accidents.”
He requested drivers to cooperate with traffic police to promote community partnership and safety of all.
The detected violations included illegal windows tint, wrong parking, using emergency lanes and other traffic misbehaviours.
