BD1m Jid Al Haj infrastructure upgrade on track

A BD1.05 million infrastructure project in Jid Al Haj’s Block 514 is now 65 per cent finished, the Ministry of Works has confirmed.
The project, handled by Al Door Excavation and Construction Company, covers new roads, sewage works, and stormwater drains to serve around 216 homes.
A 1.8-kilometre road is being paved, with underground ducts for current and future utility services.
The project also features a lighting network, traffic safety measures such as speed humps and signals, and stormwater drainage for low-lying areas. The ministry said the project is part of wider work to upgrade roads and services across Bahrain.
