Pakistan Club celebrations today

The Pakistan Club Bahrain is celebrating Pakistan’s National Day today with national zeal and enthusiasm. The Pakistan Club is one of the oldest and thriving community platform established in 1948 and is located in Manama in the heart of Bahrain’s capital. The club has chalked out a series of events this year which started with the Pakistan Day Family Night celebration yasterday at Pakistan Club, which was attended by families.

National songs were sung followed by music program, fun activities for children, games and quiz for women. Prizes and gifts were awarded. Flag hoisting ceremony will be held Saturday morning at the Club premises which are expected to be attended by over 500 community members. The program includes national songs, speeches and recognition of local Pakistani community leaders who have helped Pakistan Club in organizing its activities and programs. It will include tableaus by school children and a special poetry session to show the solidarity with the people and nation.

The Pakistani nation is celebrating the 79th anniversary of the adoption of Pakistan Resolution passed on March 23, 1940 with traditional zeal and zest. On this historic day, the Muslims of the sub-continent gathered in Lahore under the inspiring leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and adopted a Resolution, which changed the course of history. Pakistan Club Chairman Eng Rehan Ahmed in a statement extended his felicitations to the Pakistani community members in Bahrain and said that ‘celebrations of such national events are an opportunity to renew our pledge to serve our beloved country honestly, diligently and working hand in hand with all national institutions and private sector for the development of the nation’.

“We at the Pakistan club will continue to provide all possible assistance and help to our community members to solve their day to day problems. Numerous activities and programs for the benefit of the community members have been planned and carried out. The entire focus is to energize our community for positive actions, create platform for interactions and commemorate important milestones of our national history”, he said. Eng. Rehan Ahmed thanked His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the people of Bahrain for their continuous support to the Pakistan community.

We are proud of our fraternal ties with the people of Kingdom of Bahrain and these ties will continue to strengthen and grows with the passage of time,” he added. Pakistan and Bahrain enjoy fraternal ties and the bilateral relations have entered into a new era of progress and development, thanks to the leadership of both countries. Eng. Rehan Ahmed urged the community to continue to play a pivotal role in the development of the Kingdom of Bahrain. “I pray to Allah Almighty for the well-being and prosperity of the leaderships and people of Pakistan and the Kingdom of Bahrain”.
