Manama crowned champions of “Golden Generation” Basketball League

Manama were crowned champions of the Khalid bin Hamad Golden Generation Basketball League for Juniors after a dominant victory over Al Ahli in the final held on Sunday at Zain Sports Hall in Umm Al Hassam.

Backed by strong support from His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the final showcased the best young basketball talent in Bahrain, with officials from the General Sports Authority and the Bahrain Basketball Association in attendance.

Manama delivered a commanding performance in the final, defeating Al Ahli 85–52 to secure the title in convincing fashion. Al Ahli finished as runners-up, while Muharraq claimed third place in the competition.

Following the final whistle, the winners were presented with the championship trophy and gold medals by officials from the General Sports Authority. Al Ahli received the silver medals, while Muharraq were awarded bronze.

The closing ceremony was attended by senior figures from the Bahrain Basketball Association, who praised the success of the tournament and its role in developing young players and identifying future national team talent.

The league continues to play an important role in supporting youth basketball in Bahrain and strengthening the pipeline of talent for the future.
