Groundhog day Character finds an unlikely match in Ex Military man
United Kingdom
The movie Groundhog Day revolves around a laconic weatherman played by Bill Murray who wakes up every day to find that he is condemned to relive Feb 2 on a perpetual basis during his assignment to report a tedious weather segment.
However somewhere down in the United Kingdom, there is a man who wakes up every day laboring under the illusion that it's 14 March 2005 and he has a dental appointment to get to.
According to reports, English Man named William can only recall occurrences up to 1.40pm on the day, when he was serving in the military in Germany and was injected with anesthetic before root canal surgery.
The strange story began in March 2005, when the man went to the dentist's office for root canal surgery and had an injection of local anesthetic. After the hour-long procedure he was pale, slow and minimally responsive. "A vasovagal incident was suspected," the study says, referring to the vagus nerve and a possible disruption in its role regulating heart rate and blood pressure.
