Bahrain, US discuss security cooperation and regional stability

MANAMA: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, has reaffirmed the continued progress of Bahrain–United States relations across various fields, highlighting the strength of their longstanding strategic partnership.
During a meeting with visiting US CENTCOM Commander Charles Bradford Cooper and his accompanying delegation, the Crown Prince emphasised a mutual commitment to further strengthening cooperation, particularly in the defence and military sectors, and expanding areas of joint collaboration.
The meeting was attended by senior Bahraini officials, including Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, alongside other high-ranking representatives.
The Crown Prince underscored the importance of building on existing agreements, including the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement, to achieve the shared aspirations of both nations. He also highlighted the historic role of the United States in supporting regional security efforts and addressing threats, including Iranian aggression, noting the importance of continued cooperation to maintain stability.
The meeting reviewed the latest regional and international developments and key issues of mutual concern. The Crown Prince stressed the importance of the United States’ role, alongside regional and international partners, in promoting security and development across the region and beyond.
