Syria Arrests Alleged Hezbollah Cell In Daraa Over Planned Rocket Attacks

Damascus: Syrian security forces arrested three people suspected of being associated with Hezbollah in the Yarmouk Basin of western Daraa after officials claimed the organization was assembling rocket-launch systems for planned strikes.
Syria's Interior Ministry stated that the General Intelligence Directorate, in collaboration with the Internal Security Forces, conducted a pre-emptive operation after monitoring the purported preparations. The rocket launch platforms were demolished during the operation.
Authorities did not reveal the planned targets or the quantity of launchers used. Officials stated the three suspects are being questioned and will be sent to legal authorities after the investigation is completed.
The arrests come as Syrian authorities raise up their efforts against Hezbollah-linked networks operating in the country. Hezbollah has repeatedly refuted reports of carrying out such actions in Syria.
