France's constitutional authority approves assisted-dying legislation

Paris:France's highest constitutional authority on Friday upheld in its entirety legislation granting adults suffering from an incurable condition the right to assisted dying.
The decision was delivered by the Constitutional Council, which affirmed the overall law while ruling that some provisions still required clarification.
With this official approval, France is now set to join several other countries that have already legalised the practice.
These international jurisdictions include the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, and Canada
