Deadly Ukrainian Drone Strikes Hit Russian Wildberries Warehouses
At least eight people were killed and 62 others injured after Ukrainian drone strikes hit two warehouses operated by Wildberries, Russia's largest online retailer, according to Russian officials.
The attacks struck logistics facilities in Tambov and Elektrostal near Moscow, triggering massive fires and causing extensive damage. Russian authorities said seven workers died at the Tambov warehouse, while another person was killed in Elektrostal, where dozens more were injured.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the strikes targeted major logistics centers allegedly used to supply sanctioned components for drone production and navigation equipment supporting Russia's military operations.
He added that Ukrainian forces also carried out strikes on targets in the Sea of Azov, the Black Sea, and Russian-annexed Crimea. Russian officials reported intercepting dozens of drones overnight but described the attack on Tambov as one of the region's largest and deadliest since the conflict began. Emergency crews continue firefighting and rescue operations as authorities assess the full extent of the damage.
