LOS ANGELES: A legendary Hollywood veteran has bravely gone public with a progressive health battle that he has privately navigated for several years.
Acclaimed American actor and activist Danny Glover has revealed that he has been living with Alzheimer's disease. The 79-year-old star disclosed on Wednesday that he was diagnosed with the progressive, memory-destroying brain condition three years ago, shortly after receiving an honorary Oscar in 2022.
Glover shared that while the neurodegenerative disorder has slowed his speech and physical movement, he refuses to let it completely define his future. Supported closely by his family and daughter Mandisa, the Lethal Weapon franchise icon emphasized that his life and humanitarian work will continue despite the changing daily realities of the illness.
