Asian Games Transport Woes Continue as Pakistan Bus Goes to Wrong Venue

Nagoya: Pakistan's men's volleyball team had another logistical mishap at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan, with their team transport reportedly taking them to the wrong gymnasium barely an hour before their match versus Uzbekistan. The players were obliged to prepare on the bus, leaving little time for a good warm-up before the game.
Pakistan captain Murad Jehan criticized the conditions, calling the situation embarrassing and unacceptable. He also expressed concern regarding food facilities, stating that the team has occasionally returned from training to find the hotel cafeteria closed.
Despite the disturbance, Pakistan outperformed Uzbekistan, winning 3-0 with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, and 25-20. Pakistan's second victory in Pool A qualified them for the quarterfinals.
Pakistan opened their campaign with a 3-1 victory over Kazakhstan. They will now play hosts Japan in their last Pool A encounter as they continue their campaign at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
