Iran accuses US of violating peace deal as fighting resumes

Iran accused the United States on Saturday of breaking a recently reached peace accord after US forces attacked Iranian military targets, including missile, drone, and surveillance facilities. Tehran claimed the attacks violated the cease-fire and international law.
The US claimed the attacks were carried out in reaction to the Iranian drone attack on a commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, accusing Tehran of violating the accord first. Washington stated that the action was intended to deter further attacks on international ships.
Iran vowed to respond by attacking US-linked military assets in the Gulf, while Bahrain reported an Iranian drone attack on its land and condemned the strike as a violation of its sovereignty. Regional tensions grew dramatically as both sides traded allegations.
The increased hostilities have called into question the fragile peace agreement signed just days ago, with both Washington and Tehran warning of greater action if the attacks continue, heightening worries of a bigger Middle East battle.
