New York: A massive 3.5-million-page exhibition featuring documents related to convicted sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein has opened in New York. Organized by the Institute of Primary Facts, the pop-up library titled ‘The Donald J. Trump and Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Reading Room’ presents the files bound into 3,437 numbered volumes across shelves in Tribeca.
The exhibit specifically highlights the decades-long relationship between Donald Trump and Epstein, who died in federal custody in 2019. While the documents were released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, the general public is currently barred from consulting them due to Department of Justice errors in failing to redact victim names. Exceptions are granted for professionals such as journalists and lawyers.
Project creator David Garrett stated the goal is to educate the public on corruption and the perceived dangers to democracy.
The display follows accusations that justice officials may have covered up ties between the former president and Epstein. Trump has consistently denied any wrongdoing regarding his appearances in the files. The exhibition remains open to registered professionals until May 21.
