New Delhi: Former India captain and batting legend Rahul Dravid has been named co-owner of the Dublin Guardians in the newly formed European T20 Premier League (ETPL).

Joining an Indian consortium, the 53-year-old former national head coach aims to nurture the next generation of talent in a region he believes has enormous growth potential.

The ETPL, co-founded by Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan, is the first ICC-sanctioned multi-country franchise league in Europe. It features six franchises across Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands.

Dravid joins a high-profile list of owners, including cricket icons Glenn Maxwell, Steve Waugh, and Chris Gayle. The inaugural season will consist of 33 matches running from August 26 to September 20, 2026, featuring global stars like Steve Smith and Faf du Plessis.
