Riyadh: Saudi Arabia is expected to face thunderstorms, strong winds, and unstable weather in many regions until Friday, authorities said.
Weather alerts have been issued across several areas, with people urged to stay cautious and follow official safety instructions. Residents are advised to avoid valleys and flood-prone areas, as sudden flash floods are possible.
Some regions, including Mecca, may see moderate to heavy rain, which could bring hail, dust storms, and strong winds. Cities like Riyadh may receive lighter rain but could still experience poor visibility due to dust and wind. Drivers have been warned to be careful on the roads.
Other regions such as Asir, Jazan, Medina and Tabuk are also expected to see rainfall, while coastal areas may face rough seas. Winds could reach up to 60 km/h, increasing risks in open and low-lying areas.
Authorities said emergency teams are on standby, and outdoor activities may be affected in several places. People are encouraged to stay updated through official channels as weather conditions change.
