The Stephanie Hallett has congratulated Bahrain on its “historic” presidency of the United Nations Security Council during April.
In a statement, Hallett commended Bahrain’s leadership, highlighting the contributions of Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani and UN Ambassador Jamal Fares Al Rowaie for their focus on practical solutions and forward-looking vision.
She noted that Bahrain’s presidency succeeded in attracting a record number of co-sponsors for key initiatives, while also addressing regional security concerns, including condemning actions by Iran against Gulf Cooperation Council states and Jordan, and emphasising the importance of maritime security.
Hallett added that these efforts played a role in strengthening international safety and stability.
