Mahmood Matrook, Assistant Undersecretary for Social Care and Rehabilitation at the Ministry of Social Development, received Asmaa Shalabi, UNDP Resident Representative in Bahrain.
Matrook affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme and benefiting from international expertise and practices in developing social policies and programmes to support Bahrain’s development efforts.
The meeting also reviewed the Ministry’s services and programmes for various beneficiary groups and discussed areas of mutual interest, cooperation and knowledge exchange. Shalabi praised Bahrain’s social and development progress and affirmed the UNDP’s commitment to continued cooperation.
