General Shaikh Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Police, received Lieutenant Colonel Engineer Saud Abdulaziz Buhaji, Head of the Direct Transmission Section at the General Directorate of Media and Security Culture, following his completion of a master’s degree in Advanced Engineering Management from Leeds Beckett University in the UK with distinction and honours.
The Chief of Public Security congratulated Buhaji and praised his academic work on sustainability and the use of modern technologies, stressing the importance of research and specialised studies in supporting police development, adopting modern technologies and artificial intelligence, and improving services in line with government priorities.
Buhaji’s research, titled “Verifying Water Consumption Using Drones to Enhance Sustainability in Bahrain,” examined the use of drone technology to monitor water consumption, reduce operational costs and improve water-resource management. He also received an international award for the research at a conference organised by the University of Loughborough in the UK in September 2025.
