Eight Nations Join Board of Peace
The Foreign Ministers of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Egypt welcomed an invitation from U.S. President Donald J. Trump for their countries to join the Board of Peace. They announced a shared decision to participate, with each country completing the necessary legal procedures. Egypt, Pakistan, and the UAE have already formally declared their intent to join.
The ministers reaffirmed their support for President Trump’s peace efforts and the mission of the Board of Peace under the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, endorsed by UN Security Council Resolution 2803. The initiative aims to secure a permanent ceasefire, support Gaza’s reconstruction and advance a just and lasting peace based on Palestinian self-determination and statehood, in accordance with international law.
