Saudi Aramco Expands Fuel Portfolio with New High-Performance 98-Octane Grade

Starting in early 2026, Saudi Aramco will expand its domestic fuel offerings by introducing a new 98-octane gasoline grade specifically engineered for high-performance and sports vehicles. Developed under the guidance of the Ministry of Energy, this premium fuel aims to accommodate advanced engines with higher compression ratios, improving efficiency and preventing engine knocking. The new grade will be offered alongside existing fuel products rather than replacing them, providing a specialized option for a growing segment of technologically advanced vehicles in the Kingdom.
The rollout will follow a phased approach, initially launching in the major metropolitan hubs of Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam, as well as on the key highways connecting these cities. Expansion to other regions will be determined by future demand and consumption patterns. Pricing for the 98-octane grade will be governed by the same transparent framework applied to other energy products in Saudi Arabia, with rates published periodically on Aramco’s official website.
