Emirates SkyCargo to Add 10 Boeing 777 Freighters in 2026

Abu Dhabi: Emirates SkyCargo plans to expand its fleet with 10 new Boeing 777 freighters next year, bringing its total to 21 aircraft to boost network reach, flexibility and schedule reliability. The airline also has 10 passenger-to-freighter conversions underway.

The expansion follows a strong 2025, when Emirates added three 777 freighters, retired older planes, and launched services to eight new destinations, including Copenhagen, Bangkok, and Hanoi. High-demand routes like Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Johannesburg also saw increased flights.

Alongside fleet growth, Emirates SkyCargo invested in digital tools and sustainability. Nearly 80% of shipments were booked online, the PayCargo system was introduced, and hydrogen-powered trucks will join its fleet in early 2026. Cargo services like Fresh, Vital (pharma) and Secure also saw major growth across global markets.
