China Urges US to Release Venezuelan President After Caracas Strike
China on Sunday called on the United States to immediately release Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro following a US strike on Caracas that reportedly led to his capture.
In a statement, Chinese Foreign Ministry urged the United States to ensure the safety of President Maduro and his wife and to release them without delay. China also called on Washington to stop actions aimed at overthrowing the government of Venezuela.
The ministry described the strike as a “clear violation of international law” and said such actions threaten regional stability.
