Saudi Arabia Eyes $1 Trillion U.S. Investment

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman revealed plans to significantly expand the kingdom’s investments in the United States.

Speaking alongside U.S. President Donald Trump, the Crown Prince, widely known as MBS, confirmed that Saudi investments in the U.S., previously valued at $600 billion, could rise to nearly $1 trillion.

“I believe, Mr. President, today and tomorrow we can announce that we are going to increase that $600 billion to almost $1 trillion for real investment,” MBS told reporters, signaling a major boost in economic ties between the two nations.

President Trump praised the commitment, highlighting the strong personal and professional relationship he shares with the Crown Prince. “I want to thank you because you’ve agreed to invest $600 billion into the United States. And because he’s my friend, he might make it a trillion—but I’m going to have to work on him,” Trump said with a smile.

The announcement underscores Saudi Arabia’s growing economic ambitions and its intent to strengthen strategic partnerships with the U.S., while potentially reshaping global investment flows in the coming years.
