Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has indicated that Israel is open to reaching a deal with Hamas that could potentially bring an end to the ongoing conflict in Gaza, provided certain key conditions are met.

In a statement released by his office on Sunday, Netanyahu confirmed that negotiations are actively ongoing in Doha, with Israeli representatives working to explore every possible avenue for a resolution.

“Even at this very moment, the negotiation team in Doha is working to exhaust every possibility for a deal — whether according to the Witkoff framework or as part of ending the fighting,” the statement read. The potential agreement would hinge on several core demands: the release of all hostages held by Hamas, the exile of key Hamas operatives, and the complete disarmament of the Gaza Strip.

The remarks represent a rare public acknowledgment from Netanyahu that a ceasefire is on the table, as diplomatic efforts intensify to bring an end to the months-long conflict that has resulted in a humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and mounting international pressure.

No timeline for a potential agreement was provided, and it remains unclear whether Hamas would accept the outlined conditions.
